Integration: how the three apps work together

Each app works fully on its own. If you install more than one, they link up automatically:

How to install

Installed an earlier test build and Android says the app "conflicts with an existing package"? Export your rules, uninstall the old copy once, install the new one and import your rules.

  1. Download the file

Tap "Download" on the app’s card on the home page. The file is saved to your Downloads folder.

  2. Allow installing from unknown sources

Open the file from Downloads. Android asks you to allow your browser or file manager to install apps: tap "Settings", turn on "Allow from this source", go back and tap "Install".

  3. Turn on the accessibility service

Open Settings › Accessibility, choose the app under installed services and turn it on. On Android 13 and newer, if the switch is greyed out: open "App info" › ⋮ menu › "Allow restricted settings", then turn it on.

  4. Screen reader: switch safely

If you use TalkBack or another reader, keep it on until you turn Future Magic Screen Reader on, then turn the other one off at the same moment. Only one screen reader can run at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Are the apps free?

Yes. Downloads are free, with no account and no ads.

Lite or Max — which edition should I pick?

Lite is light for budget phones and includes volume and power key triggers, rules and templates. Pick Max if you need Shizuku, notifications, SMS, geofences or the AI helper. Details on the Future magic Droid page.

Do I need all three apps?

No. Each app works fully on its own. Integration is a bonus when you install more than one.

Why does Android warn about "unknown sources"?

Because the file comes from a website, not a store; Android shows this for every APK installed this way. To confirm the file is intact, compare its SHA-256 fingerprint at the bottom of the app page.

What Android version do I need?

Android 8.0 or newer. Future Magic Screen Reader needs a 64-bit phone, and text recognition needs Android 11 or newer.

Can I run Future Magic Screen Reader together with TalkBack?

No, only one screen reader can run at a time. Turn the other one off when you turn this one on.

Why install from this store?

All three apps are signed with the same key, and they only link to each other with that signature. And the files here are official and verifiable.
